It's taken a while, but over the past couple of weeks especially my entire perspective has changed drastically. Things I used to fear, I no longer fear. Confrontations I would go out of my way to avoid, I now welcome. I've realized that just because a person might have a position of power/wealth/authority, that does not make them a better person than me. They are not above me, nor are they better than me. They may be more fortunate, or perhaps more motivated in certain areas than I am, but when it comes down to it, we are equal in our differences. I will certainly try to treat everyone I encounter with respect, but I will not bow down or bend over for any man.
